Darlington Arts Festival is under way. The festival, being staged at a wide range of venues across the borough, is being co-ordinated by Darlington for Culture, the group which speaks for arts and culture in the area. Darlington for Culture (DfC) was set up late in 2010 to help protect and promote arts and culture in the town. I have been delighted to brew an ale to celebrate this festival, although it sad to think that the 'Arts Centre' is no longer open - but 'the Arts Centre is dead, long live the Arts Festival!'
