HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE, CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL TOWEL DAY - 25TH MAY 2013

Wikio - Top Blogs - Wine and beer

WHEN I WAS BUT A MERE YOUNGSTER (MANY, MANY, MANY YEARS AGO) I WAS HEAVILY INTO THE BOOKS, AND THE TELEVISION SERIES ' THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY'.

FEY YOUNG THINGS IN THE 1980'S WERE GETTING ALL EXCITED ABOUT BRIDESHEAD, AND THE POSH TOFF WHO CARRIED AROUND HIS BELOVED TEDDY BEAR. FOR THOSE OF US LIVING A MORE ECONOMIC LIFE, CARRYING A CHEAP WHITE TOWEL ABOUT WHILST HAVING HAPHAZARD ADVENTURES APPEARED A FAR MORE LIKELY PROSPECT.

IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE BOOKS ETC SEE:

THE OLD WELL, BARNARD CASTLE
THE SHIP, MIDDLESTONE VILLAGE
THE BLACK BULL, MELSONBY
THE GEORGE, PIERCEBRIDGE
THE GEORGE AND DRAGON, HEIGHINGTON

THE FOUR ALLS, OVINGTON
