The Ship Inn, Middlestone Village, Beer Festival, Thursday 16th May Till Sunday 19th May
This weekend (actually even better, it starts tomorrow) The Ship Inn at Middlestone Village beer festival kicks off, with the following beers and ciders available:
(1) Traditional Scrumpy 6.0%
A Wholesome Cloudy Cider Strong not to sweet made with bittersweet apples. (Westons)
2) Nutcracker Mild 3.9% Dark amber, mild with a light and fruity taste. Golding and Bobeck hops give a sweet aroma with a refreshing liquorice taste.

3) Yellow Hammer 4.2% The golden ale that’s so flavour packed it’.....
bursting. A predominant hop and fruit nose leads to a dry bitter finish. (O’Hanlons Brewery Whimple, Devon)
4) Mary Jane 3.5% Made with high quantities of Amarillo hops this pale crisp beer has refreshing citrus aromas. According to the folklore song Mary Jane was courted on Ilkey Moor!

5) Stormstay 5 % A suprising clean amber/copper coloured citrus ale with malt, toffee biscuit flavours alongside the complex combination of three hops, including Amarillo which gives a dry mellow finish.

6) Tea Kettle Stout 4.7% Roasted malt produces a stout with hints of liquorice The bitter malty flavours are enhanced by a moderate bitterness and a rounded late hop aroma provided by Goldings.
